Let’s face it, we all want to create better lighting that sets us apart from the norm, but it’s not practical to bring a studio full of gear, lights, modifiers, light stands, sandbags, etc. for most photo shoots. In this class, Roberto Valenzuela is determined to show you how amazing, well-crafted lighting can be achieved with or without much equipment.
Roberto will teach how he reads natural light in a way that helps eliminate much of the gear we think we need. But he will also teach how to get the absolute most out of our flashes or small strobes we can take on location. Great lighting is invisible! Great lighting just blends perfectly with the rest of the scene while still accentuating the main subject. This is the first time Roberto Valenzuela brings his very popular lighting class he teaches only once a year in Arizona to Europe.

The business of better lighting skills. How to sell yourself to your clients based on skill set.
This class is technique based not skill based. As long as you are willing to pay attention and know the basics of your flashes, you are perfect for this class.
Participants only need to know the basic of their flashes and how to achieve off-camera flash. They also need to know the basics of making an exposure with their cameras. This class can equally valuable for photographers of all levels. But if someone doesn’t know anything about how to use their flash, it’s better that they study that before they come.

The most notable being the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI) competition held in Las Vegas, Nevada annually. Roberto teaches private workshops, seminars, and platform classes at the largest photography conventions in the world.
Outside the world of photography, Roberto is a high performance remote control helicopter pilot, a (not so amazing anymore) classical guitarist, and a table tennis fanatic. He is also a major foodie and is still searching for the most amazing red wine and the most pungent cheeses. His search for the perfect steak is over; he found it in the Japanese Wagyu.
